Do you need a sworn translation into German?

When you have to submit translated documents to official authorities, you often need more than just a regular translation.

Official documents are translated by sworn translators. In Luxembourg, sworn or certified translators are translators who have taken an oath before the Superior Court of Justice. They are authorized to sign and stamp the German translations, and have an official identification number. If necessary, the translator can then submit the translation to the Passport, Visa and Legalisation Office for legalization.
